Samart Payakaroon

Ronnie Podcast on his hero Samart Payakaroon

Samart is, as his name suggests ‘very smart’ very capable. I hope that’s a good translation of his Thai name into English. Forgive me if it is incorrect, but that wouldn’t change my opinion of Samart. He was very sharp and skilled in the ring, think sharp, like with a very sharp weapon or tools with his slight frame and looks a bit like a film star type of chap. Suited ‘n’ booted or in the ring - seriously sharp. He could knockout opponents that had very high levels of skill that he seemed to enjoy. At times others couldn’t even touch him in the ring, not even up against the ropes, in the corner, sharp and smart often with not a mark or bruise on him. Like his name is Samart, very smart.
