Below Master A when I first met him training at Master Toddy's many many moons ago.
I had a recent trip down memory lane and call to see my all time friend Master A.
Walking into Master A’s gym, a welcome smile and warm greeting from Master A and his student, then they got back to training. I got there just before the class started. Master A was running through a bit of pad work with his young pupil – ‘Nak Muay Thai’.
Each knew what they should be doing; the pad work, the timing, Master A and the young boy locked in a real fight played out on the pads, the correct movement, again the Thai Way! The young boy and the older ones were all displaying a high skill level.
I said to Daz, this is what I saw when I met Master Toddy and saw his first students all those years ago.
After Master A finished the pad work he came over to talk and his students carried on doing their exercises, he said to me ‘to be a champion you must train like one!’
The lineage is still there and pure, and with that I said to Master A ‘I will be back!’
He replied ‘You are always welcome’.
