Combat 2011 Hall of Fame Awards and celebrations.

Over 500 attended the predacious Combat Hall of Fame Awards at Aston Villa's Football ground Villa Park, Birmingham.

My award for the night presented by Legend and great friend Super Foot Bill Wallace.

What a way to top the night off. It started great, over 500 serious martial artists dress in black tie all celebrating martial arts history. Never have I seen so many serious martial artists in one place in the UK all here to join and celebrate the award ceremony.

Master Sken representing Muay Thai was awarded 'Outstanding Contribution to Martial Arts and entered in to the Hall of Fame. Many years Master Sken has devoted his life to the art. Well done.

We must all thank Paul Cliffton and Combat Magazine for putting on a great show. Jokes stories, great food, a magician and a few famous starts that started out in martial arts. This was a night for celebrating those that have a passion to contribute and progress in there chosen art. A full mix of martial arts.

Here's a few Photo's of the night.

My high light of the night to goes to Kash Gill. Mr Flash had us all splitting our sides has he persisted in celebrating his award in Oscar winning style, yes he has just a wrote a book, if it's anything like his Oscar performance then you will by in for more then a split side. Kash, is very warm but seriously funny in front of the crowd. I remember sending Kash down to meet my Thai teacher Master Toddy. He became a champion, Kash is still a champion as are all that won awards that night.

You have to be in it to win it and I am grateful that martial arts helps us present ourselves in a genuine manner. Without magazines like Combat and Fighters it would have been a very lonely place back then. Everyone has PC' mobile phones etc. now, but those are the old days, us more mature practitioners are still here in force and we celebrated in massive style. I look forward to the next one Paul as will everyone else.

A great way to end 2011. In Style.
